We select only top grain leather including premium cowhide and supple lambskin. Top grain is the highest quality layer of the hide, chosen for its tight fiber structure, natural strength, and superior durability. We refuse to use synthetic, corrected, or mass-produced blended materials.
Our materials are sourced entirely from the heart of Tuscany, Italy. We partner with local tanneries that preserve generations old methods, ensuring that the leather retains its rich, organic characteristics.
The tanneries we work with use a time honored, slow processing method that relies on natural tannins derived from plants, bark, and chestnut trees rather than harsh modern chemicals. This traditional process infuses the leather with its signature warm, earthy aroma and allows it to develop a beautiful, unique patina as it ages.
Before production begins in our Florence workshop, every single hide is inspected by hand. Our artisans meticulously review the grain, texture, and weight to ensure that only the finest cuts are chosen to become a Giovanni Adami bag, jacket, or accessory.
Each hide arrives at our Florence workshop to be reviewed for grain, texture, and weight. Anything less than exceptional is set aside because the bag, jacket, or accessory you carry deserves the best piece of leather we can find.
